Lori Conway, Head of School

Lori holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Virginia,
as well as an M.Ed. and an Ed.S. in School Psychology from the
College of William and Mary. Lori has worked as a school psychologist
in a variety of public schools in Virginia and Massachusetts, served
on the Admissions Committee at M.I.T. for three years, and
most recently served for the past seven years as Director of
Admissions
and Financial Aid at The Fenn School in Concord, MA. She joined
Odyssey Day School in 2008.
Kimberly Sovie, Assistant Head, Business Manager, Grade 7-8 Teacher

Kimm holds a bachelor’s degree in Geography from Salem State,
a M.A. in Teaching from Tufts. She is certified as a middle school
math teacher and as an E.E.C. Program Director. She joined the
Odyssey staff in 1995. Her two daughters attended Odyssey and three
of her grandchildren are currently Odyssey Day School students.
Margaret Douglas, Director of Admissions and the Academic Program

Margaret holds a B.A. from Kenyon College and an M.S. in Elementary
Education from Wheelock. Margaret has many years of teaching
experience at various grade levels. She joined the Odyssey staff
in 1995. Her daughter attends Odyssey Day School.
Kerry Ickes, Director of the Early Childhood Program, Preschool
Head Teacher

Kerry is a Salem State College graduate in Educational Studies/Early
Childhood. She has extensive experience working with children of
various ages and meets Department of Early Education and Care requirements
as an infant/toddler lead teacher, lead preschool teacher and director.
Kerry joined the Odyssey Day School staff in 1997. Her daughter
is an Odyssey Day School student.
Karen Bailey, Toddler Head Teacher

Karen is a former family day care provider, and has worked as a
teacher for over ten years. She has studied child development
at Middlesex Community College.
Janet Barrineau, Assistant Teacher

Janet has studied early childhood education at Bunker Hill Community
College. She has many years of teaching experience in all early
childhood classrooms from Infant/Toddler through kindergarten.
Janet joined the Odyssey Day School staff in 1997.
Molly Barrineau, Teacher Aide

Molly is an aide in our after school program and is currently a
student at Stoneham High School.
Brian Carpenter, P.E. Teacher

Brian is a graduate of Appalachian State University with a B.S.
in Recreation Management. He joined Odyssey in 2008 after working
in the Bounders Program at The Carroll School in Lincoln, MA.
Jennifer
Carr, Assistant Teacher

Jennifer is pursuing a degree in Education at Salem State College. She has experience
as both a lead and assistant teacher with infants through grade eight. Jenn has
been at Odyssey since 2007.
Gail Cucurullo, Administrative Assistant

Gail is a graduate of Bunker Hill Community College with a B.A.
in Child Psychology. She worked in a variety of preschools and
business offices before joining Odyssey in 2008.
Patricia Egan, Grade 1-2 Head Teacher

Pat has a bachelors degree from Merrimack College with additional
course work from Salem State. She has experience as a preschool,
special education, and elementary grade teacher. Pat has been
on the Odyssey staff since 1999.
Kim Glionna, Toddler/Preschool Head Teacher

Kim is a graduate of Salem State College with a degree in Educational
Studies/Early Childhood. She has worked as a teacher with children
of various ages.
Jennifer Goldenberg, Assistant Teacher

Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Services from Fitchburg
State College. Her two children attend Odyssey Day School and
she joined the Odyssey Day School staff in 2006.
Janice Gulbicki, Grade 5-6 Head Teacher

Janice has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and a master’s
degree in Public Health from Tufts University. She worked for
many years in the information technology area and as a middle school
math tutor. Two of her children attend Odyssey Day School.
Michele Harrington, Assistant Teacher

Michele holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Endicott
College. She has been working in early childhood education programs
for two years, and joined the Odyssey Day School staff in 2008.
Rose Kawalski, After School Coordinator

Rose holds a BA in Early Childhood Education and an MS in Reading
from Wheelock College. She came to Odyssey in 2008.
Jamie McDonough, Art Teacher

Jamie holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Massachusetts
College of Art. She came to Odyssey in 2008, and continues to
teach and oversee the visual arts curriculum at Creative Arts
in Reading, MA.

Ann Marie attended Massachusetts Bay Community College. She has
many years of experience working with children, and has a special
interest in crafts.

Valerie attended the Suffolk University and New England School
of Art and Design. She is currently enrolled in an Early Childhood
Education degree program. Her two daughters attend Odyssey.

Physical Education from Salem State College. She has worked as
an elementary classroom teacher, assistant teacher and physical
education teacher. Karen joined the Odyssey Day School staff in

Certification for Early Childhood Education.

Amy holds a bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Gordon
College. She has many years of experience teaching general music,
chorus and band.

College, and Lawrence Memorial School of Nursing. She has worked

Doreen Surabian, Assistant Teacher

Doreen holds a BS in Secondary Education and an M.Ed. in Elementary
Education from Boston State College. Her focus is in mathematics.
Doreen has worked in a variety of schools and learning centers,
and began at Odyssey in 2007.

Stephanie Wilkins, Grade 3-4 Head Teacher

Stephanie holds a B.A. in Psychology from North Adams State College
and an M.Ed. in Expressive Therapies from Lesley College. She
has extensive experience teaching children of various ages and
has held several positions in the human services field. She recently
completed a program entitled, Engineering is Elementary sponsored
by The National Science Foundation. Stephanie joined the Odyssey
Day School staff in 2000. Her son is a student at Odyssey Day
