Indexed Tuition (K-8)
A commitment to inclusion is an essential element of
Odyssey Day School’s mission, educational philosophy,
and school culture. Diversity enriches the educational
experience for all students and families, and participation
of a wide range of families is critical to the health
of the school. Among our families are those who can
afford tuition at the top of the index and whose philanthropic
generosity provides a vital component of annual operating
expenses. There are also families who manage to pay
tuition at the highest level only by making substantial
sacrifice, those who are able to afford only minimal
tuition, and others across the full spectrum in between.
Because Odyssey is determined to make our education
affordable to families from a wide range of economic
backgrounds, tuition is determined on a sliding scale
that takes into account family income and other assets,
a method known as indexed tuition.
The school encourages families to discuss indexed tuition
with Margaret Douglas, Director of Admissions and the
Academic Program, or Lori Conway, Head of School, if
they have concerns about their ability to afford tuition
at the top of the range. While every family is expected
to contribute to the cost of tuition and fees and to
support the community to the extent individual family
circumstances permit, the school will make every effort
to keep tuition within reach of all of the families
in our community.
EEC Vouchers (Infants-Kindergarten)
Tuition assistance is not available via indexed tuition
for Infants through the Pre-Kindergarten year. However,
tuition assistance is available for these age groups
through vouchers. Odyssey Day School accepts Massachusetts
Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) vouchers.
EEC vouchers are provided through the Child Care Circuit
(CCC) for students in our Early Childhood Program, Infants
through Kindergarten. If you are interested in applying
for a voucher, please contact CCC at (877) 823-2273.
