Odyssey Day School will make every effort to remain
open during inclement weather. We understand snow days
can be an inconvenience, especially for those families
needing daycare for their child. However, in the event
of inclement weather or any other school emergency that
would require Odyssey Day School to close, the information
may be obtained on NBC, CW56, or WBZ, listed as “Odyssey
Day School Wakefield.” A message will also be
left on the school’s answering machine at 781-245-6050.
The quickest and most convenient method to receive this
information is by signing up to receive the information
via e-mail and or text messaging.
Instructions to receive Snow Closings via text or
e-mail:
- Go to the WHDH
Snow Day Alerts page.
- Click “Sign up for Snow Day Alerts”
in the right hand corner.
- Click on “New Members Sign Up.”
- Enter your information.
- Check the box “Accept Terms and Conditions.”
- Click “Create Account.”
- Enter your cell phone number, last name, and zip
code.
- Skip the rest and click “save changes.”
- Check your cell phone to be sure you received a
test text message including an activation code.
- Enter activation code from the test text message
and click “confirm.”
- Click “Snow Day Alerts” in blue lettering
under “other information you can receive on
your cell phone.”
- Click on “Edit” next to Private Schools.
- Check the box next to Odyssey Day/Wakefield.
- Click “Save Changes.”
